I read a few weeks ago that the word for gossip in Spanish, 'chisme' comes from the arabic word 'yism', which means a part of a whole which has been broken. I still have to double check the credibility of the source but I liked this connection and was reminded of it when I saw this photo. It was taken in one of my favourite places on Earth, Mazunte, Mexico. Jan '09
